Hello Rossee
Thank you for your post, yes they are my family from the look of it it all seems to add up,mind you did i not know about Philip that's a new one on me.
The land belong to the The LondonDerry & Loughswilly railway that is where the railway part come from my late mother always said her granddad had something to do about the railway .
I was wondering  are the Harkins from Rasheeny related to mine  as my G father James 1890 put on his marriage certificate as living in Rasheeny by 1916.
thank you for going out your way to help a fellow Root's chatter

Do you have this record?- IGI lists a daughter of Michael NcCallion and Sally McLoughlin- Mary born 21 June 1866 Buncrana district, Co. Donegal (page 119 in civil register).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Marriage Cert 6/1/1889 of James Harkin Carndonagh to Fanny Mccallion  Glenmakee Carndonagh. Are you sure you have the correct birth cert when it says her address is Glenmakee on the marriage cert. Have you got the original  Marriage Cert.

Hi Little Annie
In a book I have there is a short verse which read
                    The Swilly

There's a railway in Derry, the Swilly you know
That is famed for going exceedingly slow
It leaves Londonderry about ten minutes late
And if they don't watch, it may run through the gate
In five minutes more, a whistle is heard
And old Lizzie Harkin is getting prepared
Proceeding along, and turning a bend
The train shortly reaches that station Bridge End
At the next stop, a man in a navy-cut suit
Calls out that the train has arrived at Burnfoot.

In brackets below this it says

(Lizzie Harkin was the crossing-keeper at Galliagh Road)

Just wonder if this Lizzie is yours. :)

 ;)
