Thanks Giraffe

This family has been nothing but grief from start to brickwall!

The furthest back I have got with them is the marriage of
John Garfield to Susannah Atkins in Coventry (St Michaels) 1792

They had a son John (my 2x g/grandfather) born c1793 and a daughter Maria born 1795.
Son John was put into a weaving apprenticeship by the Parish in 1805 and moved to London in the 1820's.

I can find nothing useful to point me in the direction of his parents births or deaths so can't say if we have a connection of any sort.

I have 2 separate Gedcoms on different Garfield families in Preston on Stour and Dorsington, hoping to join them up at some stage but no luck's very frustrating

And thanks to whoever sepaerated this thread from the recommended reading list  ;D
