What area are you looking for Garfields in? I have Garfield ancestors recorded in Wolverhampton and Birmingham, my paternal grandmother was Elsie Emily Garfield.

This family has been nothing but grief from start to brickwall!

The furthest back I have got with them is the marriage of
John Garfield to Susannah Atkins in Coventry (St Michaels) 1792

They had a son John (my 2x g/grandfather) born c1793 and a daughter Maria born 1795.
Son John was put into a weaving apprenticeship by the Parish in 1805 and moved to London in the 1820's.

I can find nothing useful to point me in the direction of his parents births or deaths so can't say if we have a connection of any sort.

I have 2 separate Gedcoms on different Garfield families in Preston on Stour and Dorsington, hoping to join them up at some stage but no luck yet...it's very frustrating
