Hi,yes you are correct,I am Halogroup R1bThe man who gave rise to the first genetic marker(M168)in my lineage probably lived in northeast Africa in the region of the Rift Valley, perhaps in the present-day Ethiopia, Kenya, or tanzania, time of Emergence: Roughly 50,000 years ago. The genographic Project is ongoing and gives updates, Each marker is essentially the beginning of a new lineage , and shows how the small tribes of Africa diversified and spread to populate the world. My aim was to find the route taken by my ancestors , for detailed family history it is a little vague, and will not help me with my searching  200 years back for my own family, the project hopes to test 100,000 people over the next few years.
