I have Robert Kirkman m Frances Aspinall nee Preston1864-Sep-12
Look up Lancs Online Parish Clerk project Bolton, Holy Trinity Marriages 1862-1867 Page 100 Entry 199
Children Samuel b 1855, Frances b 1859 (part from 1881 census as above)
This would make Samuel the child of husband Aspinall (assuming propriety!!)

I also have a Marriage Database for Kirkman & am looking for any entries - 5800 so far
