I would love to know the connection between your family and mine.

As far as I know Charles and Eliza had two sons and a daughter. Their son John Charles was my Great, Great Grandfather. I have the marriage certificates for  both Charles and Eliza and for John Charles and Maria Croxall. Family story is that John Charles married Maria against his mother's wishes.

I have never been able to identify marriage certificates or death certificates for Charles and Eliza's other two children Edward and Isabel. Are you descended from one of them? Or maybe from one of John Charles and Maria's many children?

Maria had 4 children before she married John Charles, we presume, from family folk lore, they were all John's and 8 after they got married.

I was born and brought up in Studley Warwickshire. For a few months, between college and starting my nursing training I worked in one of the needle factories.

I would love to have a copy of the indenture and would happily pay for any costs would you be willing to send me a copy.

Regards
Helen

Sorry, just realised you had attached a transcript of the indenture to your post. Very kind of you.

I have found Charles in the 1851 census living in Redditch so he must have moved there shortly after his apprenticeship was completed.

Hello Gary welcome to Rootschat

This is an old post and it doesn’t look as if Helen has been on for sometime if her email is still active she should receive notification of these posts....

Do you have Frank’s marriage cert? If so, does it give a fathers name?

Do you know when /where he was born?

There is this Birth entry on GRO indexes the mmn is blank which would indicate ilegimate

CROXALL, FRANK       -
1884  M Quarter in BROMSGROVE  Volume 06C  Page 399

Have you found them on 1939 register?

There appears to another person named Frank Cross born around same time (c1884) he’s on 1939 Register with Mary L Cross in Worcestershire

This could be their marriage

Frank Cross
1907   Oct-Nov-Dec Bromsgrove   Worcestershire Volume:   6c Page:   702
Other names on same page
Mary Lilian Malins
Ann Eliza Whitmore
Frank Banner

Do you know the occupation of your Frank?

Thanks Ladyhawk,

Frank Croxall was married to May Werrett, daughter of George Werrett. They had 4 children all Croxalls one being my Grandad Wilfred.

I've found this info below on Frank but can't seem to find his parents:
