Help needed, please.

I cannot find the marriage of Michael Collins and Elizabeth Jones, my gtgtgrandparents, circa 1844.

I have:-

1851 census
Elizabeth  Collins W ?   33                               Hereford
Catharine    "                  6                              Middx. London
Sarah          "                  4                                  "           "
Jeremiah     "                  2                                  "            "

1861 census,seems nore accurate,
Michael    Collins          49                                   Ireland
Elizabeth     "               40                                  Oxford
Sarah          "               14                                  Middx. Westminster
William        "                12                                     "      Chelsea

I have the birth certificates for Sarah and Jeremiah (William)  giving me the mother's maiden name, Jones,

Michael Collins died in 1869 (fairly certain)  and Elizabeth married John Rogers in 1871, confirming name Jones.

1871 census
Elizabeth Rogers     55                                  Tame  Oxfordshire.

I haven't ben able to find the birth certificate for Catharine either.

Any ideas gratefully received.

It wasn't compusory to register births at that time so they may not be there.  It might be worth getting the local church register films to search at your nearest LDS centre abd see if you can find them there.
