Bernard Kirwan was hanged in 1943 accused of murdering his brother Lawrence. The more gruesome side of this story is on the beginners boards,if I get confident I will try to link the two boards later today.I am trying to find the parentage especially that of their mother or any info  on these two brothers-I am sure they lived in the Ballycumber area of Offaly.Thank you.
They lived in Ballincloghan, Rahan, Co. Offaly. Another brother, Peter, and sister Mrs Margaret Conroy gave evidence in the trial.

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

The girl named in the clip as Laurence's girlfriend is Annie Flannery.

Ok so from what the documentary would lead you to believe it may not have been Laurance body in the bog. I’m am eager to learn as much as possible about this. I know all of these area’s I have read the book realeased recently with the chapter in it about it. I know all the area’s Ballincur and Ballincloghan. I have asked living members of the family about this and trust me I won’t ask a second time.
