Hi "Sandra",

Thanks for your welcome. Yes, it is unfortunate that original poster hasn' t been back since 2010. There' s a message next to her profile on post saying her e mail address isn' t working and that she' s tuning off, especially since she' s related. Me too, I would love to find any living relatives on both sides of the Atlantic.I especially thank you for sending individual messages to each. Hopefully, this will re initiate interest.

Nobody has indicated a link to me. So-o-o, I' m going to take you up on your offer to find out more.
I' d like to know more about Ada May Locke and John Jeffries I' d like to know when he and she were born. Was John from Aston, Birmingham too? If not, from where? What did he do?

I' d also like to know the names, place and. date of birth and death as well as professions for each of their parents.
I don' t know if you' re with the National Archives or if any one else is, but I welcome info from all reliable sources.I' m looking to go as far back as I can on Grammy' s side.

Are you aware of this site, which is free to use, for births, marriages and deaths?

http://www.freebmd.org.uk

To get you started this looks like John and Ada:
Marriages December quarter  1891
John William Jeffries  Aston 6d 718
Ada Mary Lock  Aston 6d 718

The 1881 census can be searched here:

soxie said that Ada was widowed in 1911, so this looks like her husband's death:

Deaths December quarter 1911
John W Jeffries age 43 Aston 6d 312 (check on free bmd)

So John W Jeffries was born about 1868.
