In 1851 there is an Edward Funnell, b Brighton, Watchmaker but married to Caroline.

If this could be a possibility I think I can see him in 1841 .. would you like the details ..

Snap Karenlee ..  :)

Hey Pels

Great minds and all that huh? ;D ;D

Can you make out the name of the 10 year old son at all?  Or the occupation of George? in 1841.

Many thanks for your help so far.
Sarah died and Edward married Caroline a few months before the 1851 census. So yes, if there are any more details, I'd be grateful.

Hi Andy,
I think this might be him with his parents in 1841.  The image is very hard to read due to bad handwriting  :-\

Brighthelmstone  HO107/1122/bk3/29/5

Charles Funnell  40  ?maker  'could be clockmaker'  :-\
?                         46
EDWARD             19  ?maker          ditto
George               16  ?
James                 14  Taylor
Sarah                 12
Nehemiah? (male)  10
Mary                        8
Alfred                      7
William                   3
All born Sussex

As I couldn't read his wife's name I looked on the Sussex marriage Index & I think this might be his parents marriage;

Brighton, East Sussex,   24 Oct 1814:
 Charles FUNNELL, bach
 Helen HASELGROVE, sp botp (B)
