Balderton Hall
« on: Friday 04 April 08 10:35 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

I am trying to find out about Balderton Hall which was the place my greats llived and worked in 1851/61;  James Wells was a farm bailiffe there with his family.  To date all my searches have brought up a Balderton Hall in Notts which was a lunatic asylum but nothing in salop.
The place in 1851/61 was Myddle Salop and the farm was a huge place with oer 2000 acres my great great grandfather was in charge of.  I would love to know more about this hall and whether it still exeists in some form or another.  eise

Hi eise,

Have a look at:

for a photo of the farmhouse and a location map.

Regards,
Maurice

Hi there Maurice,

This photo looks magnificent.  I have emailed the site to see if i can copy the picture with the reasons of course.  my great great grandfather wa farm bailiffe there for over 10 and possibly nearly 20 years.  my great grandfather was born there along with his siblings so it is of great interest to us.

Hello Els_zeus and welcome to RootsChat,

eise hasn't been active on here since September 2009, but hopefully she still has the same email address and will be notified of your post. I'm sure she would be pleased to hear from you.
