Hi Terry,

Many thanks for the offer.  Do you have any info on;

John Harries (d 1830) & Jean Anguish (d 1867)

Or any other Harries/Anguish?

Thanks for your help.

Hanan

My apologies Hanan, I just realised I had missed this posting.

Sorry but no MI's for them in Kirkcolm or Inch.

Dear Terry, I wonder if there are any MI:s relating to Bernard (Barney) McGhee or any John or William McCoy (McKie) at Kirkcolm

or any MI:s relating to James Graham, Craig McKay(McKie); John McCoy (McKie) or Daniel Gilmour(Gilmore) at Inch?

Many thanks for any information you can give.

Hi Claymore,

Checked all names in both places, only result is 5 McKie's in Inch.

As you didn't give any dates here's a William McKie but buried in Inch not Kirkcolm

Erected in Memory of William McKie who died 27/12/1845 aged 76 years. Also his wife Mary McBride who died 27/10/1856 aged 65 years.

No results for any of the other McKie first names

James Mckie Mason Inchparks who died 24/01/1828 aged 41 years. And of Janet Agnew his wife who died 1/8/1851 aged 55 years. Also of Thomas McKie farmer in Boreland, their only son who died 16/3/1855 aged 31 years. And of Janet Agnew his child who died 8/3/1853 aged 9 months. Also of Jane Wallace wife of the above Thomas McKie who died 20/6/1867 aged 42 years.

There is a Wallace family MI with the mention of a Margaret McKie d 1866 aged ? years  wife of Michael Wallace.

There is a McCredie family MI with the mention of Elizabeth McKie d 1844 aged 71 wife of William McCredie

There is a McCune family MI with mention of Elizabeth McKie d 1886 aged 73 wife of William McCune

If you need any of these transcribed let me know.

Dear Terry, Many many thanks for  taking the trouble to check. I much appreciate it. The William McKie you mention is not one of mine as far as I can see.  Can I ask if there is a new Parish churchyard  at Inch ? I am somewhat mystified by the death of Craig McKie/McKay . I met him as an old man just after the second world war when he lived on a cottage on  the Stair Estate.

Hi Claymore,

There is another burial ground, there would have to be really but I don't know anything about it. I'm attaching a link to the Wigtownshire Pages, it's a fantastic resource for genealogists has a huge amount of info on all the parishes in Wigtown. I'm sure you will find plenty there. Sorry I couldn't help any more.
