Perhaps a bit late now, but do you have anything on Robert KERR (born c 1777) and also Mary Gibson (born c 1813) or any of the KERR family who may be related?

Many thanks

Hi Helen,

There are 14 MI's for Kerrs no Robert or Mary Gibson though.  Can you give me an idea of the names you are looking for or occupations.  There are Stairs, Johns, Charles and a few more.

This Post has been read over ten-thousand times.
I wonder how many readers realise that DGFHS have actually published
TWO Kirkcolm MIs booklets.
These are:
Ervie / Kirkcolm - - £2.00 - - wt. 80g  &  Kirkcolm - - £2.50 - - wt. 80g
That's not expensive is it?
See:  http://www.dgfhs.org.uk/publications.asp for a downloadable order form with postage rates.

Hello JK, :)

I totally agree with what you are saying and it is not expensive..... the work done by the Family History Societies is fantastic and to be applauded.

I myself have purchased a number of  MI Booklets from DGFHS and others  over the years.......(Without offering look ups)

This post may have been read over 10 thousand times but I have only had 25 queries since April 2008.  I do however state that the MI's are for 'Kirkcolm Old Parish Churchyard' and am in no way implying that there were no other Burial Grounds in the area.  Like yourself I am only trying to help other like minded genealogists.

Regards

Terry
