Hello Terry

Have you found any Marshall's by any chance. I am not sure if I also asked you if there were any Marshalls in Stranraer too.

It's nice to see threads on the Wigtownshire section. It seems to be the quietest area! ???

Thanks very much

Hi Bigt,

No Bone or Boan and why would you think that they wouldn't be buried in the churchyard because they were Ag Labs. Don't discount it many of my family were Ag Labs and are buried in churchyards with stones as far back as late 1700's.

Have you also looked at the name Bain. I helped my friend with her family tree her mothers maiden name was Bain. The further back we got it changed to Bane &  Bone. Bane as you will know is how us Scots used to and still do say bone.

Sorry couldn't help further.

Thanks Terry.

The reason I mentioned about there may be no stones is that some may not have been able to afford it.

Thanks anyway
