your brown family is not my brown family at all some of them have the same names but not mine my joseph married Margaret Caskie in Girvan and I have there marriage and death certs all Scotland
I don't know how to start looking for ships passenger lists that would help big time for me it is strange that there is two familys with the same parents and the same kids one all born in Ireland and one all kids born in the usa

Not so many early passenger lists, with very little information to positively identify people. There are New York Passenger Lists on Anc. 1820 - 1957
