Washy,
Keep trying mate.  Many of us have that problem and some days are worse than others.  Some times I can be in there for up to 8 hours without being booted.

Further, I think that there is a script in the program causing the boot :(

I am in the chat often in the Aussie evenings.  Look for Aussie Karrob.

I am in Bathurst NSW, so welcome to RootsChat and to the Chat Room as well :)

Regards
Robert

Just to second what Robert has said.
We all seem to get disconnected at some time or other.  Some people are coming and going all the time as a result. We usually make a joke of it.  ;D
We are a friendly bunch and there are plenty of UK people in during the UK day who can help you with research (or just chat.)
So do try again.

I have been in the chat room three times.  All three times I got booted out.  On the first try I was too embarrassed to go back.

Months later I tried it again and asked why it happened...I was told it happens all the time and one this occasion the whole room went out.  I found it upsetting as I was just getting into the flow of the conversation, starting to figure out who everyone was and then zaaaaaaaaap I was gone.  One chap told me that it happened between 9:15 and 9:30 BST so I guess it is really common.

One of these days when I am on at a decent time for me...I am seven hours behind most and when they are already in bed when I want to go on...and then I am too tired to read when they wake up lol..

They seem a wonderful bunch of people....I just wish we didn't have such different time zones.
