Hello Mick. I am using this to reply as I cannot post a personal message.
Thanks for the info. It's as I suspected.  My Gt. Grandad was Wardrobes son George. He only had one child Dorothy ( my Grandma) who has since died and the Youdan line stopped there, although she had 4 children under the name Sirett.

Your General Library possibly has a copy of the National Burial Index where there are 34 Youdans buried in St Laurence,Hatfield between 1723 and mid 1800's
