bambrick - parish record possible Arles
« on: Saturday 15 January 05 20:34 GMT (UK) »
Looking for Catholic Parish records for the marriage of a male Bambrick marrying a Margaret (unknown maiden name), possibly mid 1840's.  They had 2 children, Henry born December 1847 and a Margaret born 1851.  Margaret/Henry/ Margaret Jr. arrived in USA 29 October 1851.
Their was a John & a Margaret Fanning Bambrick, married in 1825, Arles Parish, and their address was listed "Rushes" but not sure if they are related or not.  Any help appreciated.

Frank

I typed in Arles parish records (google) and it gave a list of R.C. Baptismal extracts, that includes the name Bambrick. It's a start !
I will travel to Arles in the coming week and check the Graveyard to see if the is any headstones there.
(I was there last week for another person)
We might come up with something.
Best wishes
Jack.

thanks Jack
The Margaret that I'm looking for along with the children Henry & Margaret Jr, sailed for US 1851.  A husband wasn't on the Gondar ship manifest.  Don't know if husband did in Ireland or US, as the US census for 1860 doesn't show a husband.  Perhaps he died before they left.  I found these 3 in the US PA census living near the following.
The John & Margaret Bambrick married in 1825 had moved onto US in 0833.

Jack, thanks for looking in both places.  I'm just assuming that my family came from Queens, nothing concrete.  They settled in the US & lived near a John & Margaret Bambrick, married in Arles, & they were from the "Rushes".
Thanks again,
Frank
