I wonder if you RootChatters are still following this...
I am searching for Mary DUES who married William KILGOUR in an unknown place. They came to New Zealand in 1842. Presume they married in Scotland.
Their eldest son is born in Irving, Aryshire about 1826.
The McBride location of Dunbarton, Greenock and Ireland on the census also match my family.
I wish we both knew the parents names of these DUES daughters?

Mary DUES is born between 1800 to 1804 in Scotland. She is known to be a tall lady who was very kind. I don't know how to get back any further.
Forty years ago I was told about two brothers coming to NZ - one stay and one went to Australia. However I've reheard that tale so many times, and thought it belonged with the Kilgours.
I'm really digging deep as I have the family history for 6 out of their seven children. Many thousands of descendants!
The missing person is the second daughter Martha Kilgour, born 27 May 1829,  in Dumbarton - she is known to be alive in 1881.

If your Martha DUES has a mother called Martha, then..... my fingers are crossed. please link!
