China, Just seen that Anc**try have the Drouin colllection online now - it says that it represents the largest french canadian family history resource including a collection of Quebec vital records and the collection includes neary 15 million records!

Nothing on SP for Pat(t)erson without a first name that looks promising, China - I also checked Fife - thought he might have been bpt. across the 'water'. Only one I have to date is one bpt. 6 Feb 1848, Dundee - father William, a joiner, mother - Elizabeth Cairnie 

I've tried so many combinations - hardly a P t or n showing, there were so many wild cards!

Think I'll leave it now - I'm running out of small change for the meter
