Marriage Certificate
« on: Sunday 13 April 08 19:46 BST (UK) »
I received this certificate as an attachment, but the writing is very faded. Is it possible to make it readable. I'd be very grateful to anyone who can help. :) :)

I think the resolution's too low. I would suggest asking your contact for another higher res copy (or order your own from GRO)

Thanks for the offer, I already have him on the census for 1841, 1851 and 1861. He emigrated to America sometime before 1871.
It was the name of the church I was hoping to find. I can just about make out the marriage took place in the county of York but very little else along the top line. :)

If the certificate isn't totally legible, get back to GRO and ask them!

Hi Marshei  ;)

Why don't you scan just the name of the church on the certificate and post that? I'm sure someone will be able to help!!
Best wishes, Judy :-))
