I wonder if his wife had to declare him legally dead after seven years ? ..... because they couldn't do it before that as they didn't know where he was !!

Theres probably court papers regarding that ! .... unless she died before then - no date only this Elizabeth Lea (died aged 42 - buried at Anfield Cemetery)

I've been trying to find their marriage to see if I could work out when she died ... I couldn't find anything at Anfield cemetery ..... !!
