Williams family, Breconshire-completed
« on: Friday 25 April 08 11:42 BST (UK) »
Owen Williams [19] David Williams [19] William Williams [18] and Mary Williams [21] brothers and sister, all born Breconshire were residing in Brithdir, Gelligaer in 1901.  Owen was listed as head of the family, no parents recorded.  Please can someone check the 1891 census for this family.

Thanks in advance
Roy

Hello Slyvia
That does look like the family doesn't it, I wonder if you could check the 81 census for them?

Hello Roy

Once again

1861 Census.

Williams
David  Head  Farmer
34
Mary Wife
30
Ann Daughter
7
John Son
5
Mary Daughter
3
Elinor Daughter
1
Mary Servant 26

Address Pantmawr, Penylan, Llandilofane

You wil notice that I put ages underneath names as I find it difficult to get them in a straight line. Looks o.kay when typed but a mess when printed

Sylvia

If this is the right family they seem quite easy to find

Thanks Slyvia
I wonder what become of Catherine on the 1901, was she left to fend for herself on the farm whilst her sons and daughter came to Brithdir?

Hello

I have just looked www.family search.org: and found something that might be of interest although John seems to have H.as a middle name.

It is a record of a death of John who was married 11th May 1877 to a Catherine Moses at Lylwall Church Landelor Fan Brecon. Death shown as 25th Feb 1885 . Lylwall is the place of birth shown for Catherine on the census's that I have looked at it also shows a death for Catherine on the 14th June 1928.
