Hi Cathy,

In case you didn't know the parish that is given in the marriage register is only her place of abode at the time of the marriage and doesn't mean she actually came from there. Sounds like you might need to widen your search.

Good luck

Hi Peggy:)
Thanks for your Reply
Yes i think i might need to widen my search re where she was Born, Check a few LDS registers from Parishes around that area, as her baptism isnt showing from there
Regards
Cathy:)

Hi Cathy,

I don't know if you've since found what you were looking for but there are a number of Chasney's and Chastney's buried at Hindringham St Martins - namely William son of Richard and Charlotte Chastney died 28/08/1872, William Gordon Chastney (son of above William) d28/12/1860 age 2yrs and 7 months. There are also a number of Chasteney's and Chasneys in Langham Parish Registers as transcribed on Genuki.

I have a Anna Chastney b 1841, daughter of Robert (b 1805) and Charlotte (b1810) who married Jacob Page in 1861, so let me know if these are any help as it might help me!

Jo
Page (Oxfordshire), Parker (Hampshire), Allen, Styles, Goddard, Morland (Berks), Smee (Berks and Essex), Nudds, Page, Gidney, Chastney, James, Hendrey, Sandford (Norfolk), Soulsby, Laws, Winlay, Roseby, Bainbridge (Northumberland and County Durham)

Hello

Also searching for Family Chasney of Norfolk. Jane Lewis and Elizabeth Gertrude were born in 1890 and 1887 of Benatton Chasnet and Sarah Hall. They emigrated to New York in the twenties. Jane maried a French man, François Marie RIO (1883 1949). Elizabeth was eventually not married and died in NY in february,1965. She is buried in Queens Cemetery. Jane died in Cheshire 1980.

Best regards
