Many thanks,

Sarah must have remarried then to have the name change to Ward.  She must have been a spry 60 year old.

Cheers

Did you get a 1841 entry? as I'm going through the Trowbridge census this weekend.

Christine,

Thank you so much for replying.  No, I haven't found them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

To recap:

Joseph Billett b. 1826/7 Woollen Spinner

I am expecting/hoping to find him with parents John Billett (b.1797) and Sarah (b. 1795 Wilts).  Joseph was their fifth child.  Another child was Alfred who will be 10 in 1841.

If you come across a Sarah Smith b. 1829 in close proximity, I would be glad to know.  She marries Joseph in 1846.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Regards, and many thanks.

KA

Christine,

Very interesting. I must check through the names to see if they look likely.

Christine,

That indeed looks like my Joseph.  And the Bishops and Neal's are ancillary family member names I have come across.

Thanks for extra information on Sarah too.

You've been a wonder.  Thank you very, very much.

Kind regards
