do you have a full name for your relative? is it possible to get a high resolution scan of his cap badge and of his shoulder title ? it would all add to the picture to identify him.

Hello

My ancestor is John Albert Sellick b.1884, on the National Archives site there are 2 John A Sellick's and im not sure which is my ancestor, one is in the Royal Army Medical Corps and the other the Devonshire and then Wiltshire regiments.

Unfortunatly I dont own the photo, and this is the only picture so this is about as good as I can get.  :-\

Thanks again

Sorry I don't think it is a Dorset badge...

Is there any other Regt listed on any of the medal cards?

Deffo not RAMC and not Wiltshires either...I think it has more of a "star" shape to it...

There is also the round thingy on his bottom left sleeve...a trade badge of some sort...Wheeler,  or Driver perhaps???
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Hello

Thank you both for your input,

Forester: thats not the same man so I think we can rule out the medal card for the Devon and Wilts regiment.

The other option would be the RAMC or possibly another medal card mistranscribed?

Thanks again
