My greatgrandfather Michael McCormack was living at 8 Ross Lane in 1878 on his Marriage Cert. My greatgrandmother was living in Plunket Street which was just around the corner.  I believe both streets are gone now.  I believe the streets made way for social developments by the Guinness family.  Thanks for the great map, I'm thrilled to know where they actually lived.

Thank you for this post - my ancestors lived at 8 Ross as well! In June of 1878 when their first son was born.

Ssocon

The Irish Times has an entry for an Edward Curran in 1878 at No.8
