Does anyone think these are the same people?

I am still trying to solve the mystery of my Yorkshire wedding photo. Comparing other family photos I came up with these likely contenders who married in 1912. The photo of the older couple would have been taken about 1940.

Do you think these are the same people?

I put the 2 males/females together for another angle - the men look very similar, except perhaps for the noses - did the older man have a broken nose at some stage - it looks somewhat like that, which would account for the different shape to the younger version

The ladies look to me to have matching chins and noses - and I think eyes but not as clear.

They look very much like the same people.

It seems that the man's hairline stopped receding through
the years, so the similarities are fairly obvious even though
the photos are taken at different angles.

That's exactly what I thought - just the nose different on the man and the eyes on the woman. Its probably the ears on the man that did it for me - they are really distinctive!

I have a photo of the mother of the older version and also a close up of somebody who may be her in the wedding photo. Do you think these two are the same? this might be the clincher.

I had to make them the same size to compare - my vision isn't what it used to be    - & then I reversed one to have them looking the same way - but this has given the hair part on opposite sides - thus said - I think they are the same person

Now I'm confused - I think the noses are different!

You are right - the noses are completely different and I don't think they went in for nose jobs in those days!

What to do next - the wedding couple does look similar to the older couple but I can't imagine them getting married without the bride's mother. Don't you wish they had written on the back of photos.
