TRAIN FAMILY EMIGRATED TO USA APPROX 1902/3
« on: Tuesday 18 January 05 15:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
don't know where to begin?
I know my G.G.Grandfather RICHARD TRAIN emigrated to the U.S.A in appox 1902/3.
In the 1901 Census he was living in Hull, aged 64yrs. He left England taking 4 daughters with him.
Nell-18
Lillian-16
Kate-14& Ada (approx)-10
Apparently Richard died as soon as they reached the US. The girls managed to fend for themselves. They all eventually married & had children of their own.
My G.Grandfather Arthur was supposed to go with them as he was the youngest son. When he returned home that day, they had gone without him.
I don't know where to start as I only have an approximate date & don't know what ship they travelled on or anything??? Can anyone help???- Regards-Jan.H

Hi Jan

Have you searched the Ellis Island site which lists ship's passenger lists for those that arrived in the US via Ellis Island?
