Joseph Parry Senior / Mary Ann Wardle

Hi - can anyone help!!  I am looking for info on a Thomas Parry who is the father of Joseph Parry Senior (born 1880 ish).  He is listed on the marriage certificate of Joseph Parry & Mary Ann Wardle (born 1882 ish) in the box for "Father's Name and Surname" and in "Rank or Profession of Father" I think it says "Farmer" Joseph's place of residence at the time of marriage is Spon Farm, Buckley, which must be the farm in question, however, I cannot trace either Joseph (son), Thomas (father) or Thomas' wife, Mary on the 1901 census, I can trace Mary Ann Wardle in the census for 1901 living as AD CHILD with George & Sarah Davies of Spon Green, Buckley.   I have been searching without much luck, can anyone shed some light please!!!!

I don't know Thomas' wifes single name, but she is listed on Joseph & Mary Ann's sons birth certificate (6th April 1915) as Mary Parry - she is the person who registered the childs birth and in the Signature/Description and Residence of informant it states "X The mark of Mary Parry - present at the birth.  Spon Farm, Buckley".  In the box marked "When and where born" it states 3rd April 1915 - 14 Aberdovey Terrace, Buckley ud".  So I assumed that Mary Parry must have been Thomas' wife.  But I cannot trace the family on the 1901 census, I can however find Mary Ann Wardle on the 1901 census living with George & Sarah Davies as "AD Child" at Spon Green and I believe she had a child listed as George Wardle 9 months old and detailed as Grandson.

Thomas Parry,Farmer born Mold Flintshire c 1834.
Harriet Parry,Wife born Hope Flintshire c 1838.
Sarah Parry,Daughter born Mold c 1867.
Mesech Parry,Son Coal Hewer born Mold c 1875.
Peter Parry,Son Coal Hewer born Mold c 1878.
Joseph Parry,Son Labourer Below Ground,born Mold c 1881.
Harriet Parry,Grandaughter born c 1891 Chester Cheshire.

This looks promising - However it does cause me to think about Joseph sons' birth certificate -  I assumed that Mary Parry who registered the birth was the Grandmother - basically because it said "present at birth" and the address of the person registering the birth as Spon Farm and the address where born as Aberdovey Terrace, Buckley.  It might be worth me trying to get Joseph's own birth certificate to solve this one.  Anyway thanks very much for all your help.

It may sound corny,but couldn't the Mary Parry who registered the Birth be the Mother?There is the added certainty that she was definitely at the Birth!

I have found a Marriage on North Wales BMD in 1860 at Treuddyn St Mary of a Thomas Parry and a Harriet Williams.I can find no GRO equivalent.

Thanks for that you're amazing - with regard to the Birth Certificate entry I also thought that Mary Parry could just possibly be Joseph Parry's sister, Mary - it did cross my mind that Mary Parry could just be the mother registering the birth - but then I thought well obviously she was present at the birth!!!  But in those days goodness knows what they thought!!
