william shaw born @1819 east retford ... from his marriage certificate know his father was called william shaw   but is it possible that his grandfathers name would have been put on the marriage certificate if he was illigitimate  as the only contender i can find is a martha shaw (and her father was called william shaw ) who could be his mother as she had a son william christened 4/6/1819 east retford ?? any ideas  thanks
