1851 census Woolwich
« on: Tuesday 06 April 04 14:39 BST (UK) »
I would be most grateful for any information on my O'Brien/Bryan ancestors in Woolwich.

They anglicised their name shortly after arriving in England from Cork so may be using either name in 1851
Father: John O'Brien bc1805 Dunmanway?
Mother Mary      "
John bc1 829 also known as George
Michael  1830 b Bandon

Thank you - Valerie

Possibles.

1851 Woolwich 1589/374b
John & Mary Brian, both aged 50
with James aged 14

No sign of a Michael

John Bryan aged 22 at 1588/441a

I don't know how to get copies of the returns.
