i am looking for information about the parents of joseph leslie berry born 1908 west bromwich.. his parents were john berry and ellen edwards i have looked for the marriage of these two but cannot find them any information would be greatfully recieved

Hi Sue

There is a marriage on Free BMD for a John BERRY and and Ellen EDWARDS in Staffordshire, but it's not until 1917.  Are you sure that you have the right parents for Joseph?

yes i have the right parents because i received josephs birth cert yesterday... they could have got married after his birth but it does say ellen berry formerly edwards on cert...the fathers occupation is a turner

If the parents are definately right then I guess they waited a while before marrying.....
