To find Peter would be a tough task unless parents are noted, as he may have been "Pierre"

any luck with the censuses? I don't see Peter in Ontario or Quebec?

Peter Gannon and Mary L with children Mary and Simon are living in the district of Nippising, Ontario in the 1901.  Peter is of irish desecent, farmer, catholic

  UH< Duh... I was looking for Gagnon...

Well, there you go, he was born Jul 4, 1871 and  Aug. 1872...but at least you know Ontario...so that will make him easier for you to find in 1881!

I found Peter in 1881 with parents Patrick and Ellen

I notice that they are all catholics, does this make it harder to find church records?

I have just found John Mcclaren in the 1911 census with wife Mary Anne and according to the census Lucy is still with them along with their other children in Guigues, Pontias, Quebec . But I have found Lucy with Peter in 1911. Something does not quite add up.
