Hello

I have not looked for the other Franklin daughter Elizabeth age 22 1861 or George Franklin who must be on the 1851 census.

Many thanks for the great effort! Lucy Franklin and William Henry Villiers were my gt grandparents and so I have much of this information. I did not find the references to David Chamberlain's military record- thanks especially for that. My biggest problem now is trying to find William Henry Villiers before his arrival in Eynesbury. I know from the birth certificate of his oldest son Edwin that he was previously married to Ann Brealy/Breary . I have tried to unravel this mystery before on earlier posts but with no satisfactory conclusions. I'm always hoping for that eureka moment                     Yvonne

Hello I wonder if William was married to Edwyn, Elizabeth and Georginas mother he seemed to have lived with Lucy for years. I wonder if it is his correct name I cannot see him 1841 or 1851.

The only death that matches up with a death in St Neots is this one

Christiana Breary died 1859 St Neots Huntingdonshire/Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire
3b 199
Be interesting to see who reported it.

Ann or Anna for short

This is interesting. I've always thought that there must be some reason why William Henry Villiers is untraceable! He was probably evading justice or had a wife /partner somewhere else! I have also wondered why he called his youngest child Surtees. There does not seem to be any family connection. I know there was a Villiers Surtees family but their origins seem too grand for a harness maker. The name persists, however being used in the next generation. Any thoughts?    Yvonne
