HERO , what can I say. If you could track the family that would be fantastic. I know James jnr  moved to Burnham long enough to get married then moved to Stratford St Mary, and eventually Norwich but how he arrived in this life was a mystery.

don't be sorry. I know where James went to from '51. It was the family I couldn't find out about as his birth didn't appear to be registered. Now I can follow up some more leads. It's possible cornelius' visitor may have been a family member.

I grew up in Gorleston in Norfolk, not that far from Woolpit really. There were a few Ollingtons about, including Brian Ollington who has a photographic shop in the High Steet(no 86). They also sell lots of old photos of the area.

Here is James ALLEN's marriage from the Suffolk Marriage Index 1813 -37 Babergh Deanery (Published by the SFHS)

James Allen to  Elizabeth King at Glemsford on 24 Aug 1817 (both single and of the parish of Glemsford)

I also found some ALLEN burials at Glemsford on the NBI (published by the FFHS,)
