1841 Census - Llangynog/Llanwnog
« on: Wednesday 28 May 08 10:33 BST (UK) »
Hi All

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed but Ancestry seem to have grouped/mistaken  Llanwnog and Llangynog.

I'll check out my unindexed census CD to make sure it's not a general mistake :-\

Here is the front page of Llanwnog, District 7, which is classified as Llangynog, District 7. The same error applies to Districts 8, 10 and 11 and the Newtown and Llanidloes District Workhouse which was in Llanwnog but strangely, District 9 is on its own as Llanwnog  ::)

I have now checked on my other sources and it seems that the problem is solely an Ancestry one  :(

Hi

Welcome to Rootschat  :)

See my earlier posting:

I have now checked on my other sources and it seems that the problem is solely an Ancestry one  :(

It definitely seems like an Ancestry problem.
