1901 census lookup
« on: Saturday 31 May 08 00:41 BST (UK) »
Hi:

I'm looking for two boys in the 1901 census - Edward Charles LARVIN age about 7/8 and Arthur GILLINGWATER age 2/3, both in the Sculcoates area.

I know it's a bit vague, but I'm hoping the relatively uncommon surnames might help! ;)

Thanks, Linda

No sign of Edward Larvin at all except for the following:

The only birth that I could find was March quarter 1893 in Salford and unforrtunately there is a corresponding death:

Kerry, thank you so much.

Edward is a bit of a mystery then.  He married in 1913 in Sculcoates (from Free BMD) and is still there in 1938.  But perhaps was born elsewhere.

Hi Linda

The only other one I can find is

Edward Larvin born 1874 on the 1901 at Kingston upon Hull
RG13 4498 105 13

Is there a possibility the 1913 marriage is a second marriage or do you have his age from elsewhere?

Kerry:

Yes it could be a second marriage.  I'll be honest I know little about Edward other than he was living at 24 Pemberton Street, Hull in 1938 - I'm doing this for a friend, and the address is the key.

I was guessing at the age, presuming :-\ it was a first marriage.  Would you mind giving me the details of this Edward in 1901?  I found his marriage on Free BMD and six babies born to him and his wife Mildred Faulker after that (well one actually slightly before the marriage!)

Thanks, Linda
