Clonyard, Southwick

Can anyone help. Does anyone know if Clonyard farm still exists. Reason for asking is a descendant, Samuel Clingan was a ploughman there at the time of his wedding to Barbara Kennedy at KPD in 1905. Also where would the nearest graveyard/cemetery be, is it Dalbeattie?

In a list of present-day farms in Kirkcudbrightshire there is no mention of a Clonyard farm but there's a Clonyard House Hotel, Colven. I also checked with the Royal Mail Postal Address Book for Scotland but again no joy.

Many thanks for info. Would take a guess and say that the hotel was the main
house in days gone by.

Southwick still has an old and new burial ground around the remains of the old church (St Mary).

Other than that, it would be Colvend.
