Times shows:
The Times, Saturday, Sep 19, 1931; pg. 6; Issue 45932; col F
 - a Phyllis Robins, A.L.C.M from the London College of Music. (they might have some record?)

Hello Mosh,

It could be a lengthy search but many local papers include titbits of information such as "Phyllis Robins, daughter of Mr & Mrs Robins of wherever, received her Associateship from the London College of Music."

I'm not sure but Phyllis Robins was my Godmother. I knew her well when I was around 7 years old to 10 years old in 1954 - 1957. My parents lived a society life in London (Westminster) and became friends with her and her husband Michael Hickman. We moved to Devon and they had a wonderful manor house that we used to visit regularly in Morwenstowe. Phyllis I remember even now was VERY glamorous and my mother who was a model and my father an army officer used to have fantastic cocktail and dinner parties with them. One Christmas, they all went out to the village pub "The Bush Inn" and left me with a French au pair....the rest is a story I cannot relate here !! I have a few photos and theatre programs but that's it. I went to sea in 1961 and sadly lost touch. Any information would be most interesting and welcome.

Ive set up a facebook page for phyllis robins if you want to check it out. This morning I put a request out for information on radio sheffield  and a lady called in with info on phyllis ballroom dancing skills!
It was Stanbury manor. Phyllis was declared bankrupt in 1956, she moved on to buckinghamshire. Do you know of her son? lovely to hear your memories.

Hi,
Just to let you know Phyllis's son Bill Kermode passed away about 10 years ago.We think he last lived in Wales.
He was my cousin (I 'm Row413's Mum) .I dont really remember him, though my Mum met him several times.
My cousin Christine is. more familiar with our family history.
Regards
