Looking for George Baker (b. abt. 1839 Wellow)
« on: Thursday 20 January 05 18:26 GMT (UK) »
Can not find a record of George Baker born or christened in Wellow, Nottinghamshire about 1839.  Have 1881 census' listing his wife Mary A. (b. abt. 1835 Basford) and children:  Adela (b. abt. 1864 Nottingham - possible last name West, Wood or Westwood), Alice, Carrie, James, Elizabeth Ann and George.  1901 census lists George as widowed.  I was told he married Mary Ann Westwood, but can't find an index for this marriage.  There is a marriage index for 1st Q 1866 listing a George Baker and Mary A W West.
Do not know names of George or Mary's parents.  Can anyone help??

Thanks in advance.

Have them on the 1871 census for you, send me your e-mail and I will forward the census page....This census has Ann West 59 Bulwell Mother-in-law on it.
