eryka91:

Andrew's sister, Jane Brown (b. in Maybole to Andrew Brown and Jane Love Sept 2, 1789) appears to be my g-g-g-grandmother. She married Andrew Aitken 15 Sep 1816 in Kirkmichael, Maybole parish. They had 8-10 children together, and emigrated to the US in 1836 aboard the ship Glide, lived in New York initially; then moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin Territory in 1840.

Birth order of their children first-to-last appears to be Janet-John-Andrew-Helen-James-Elizabeth-Jane-Thomas-David.

I am descended from their son James, and live in Wisconsin.

Do you have any info on your end regarding this family?

Best regards.

Hello Cousin

Please find attached what I have on Andrew Brown, as you can see i had nothing on his sister Jane. I have been working on this line for a long time, trying to prove we are related to ronnie burns the poet, which means, you are now also related.

Any other info I can help you with please let me know.

Hi eryka

I am interested in the Jamieson family.

I don't think your Janet Hunter Jamieson is the daughter of Quintin Jamieson and Katherine Bone, as that Janet died in the US in about 1840.

I am interested to know who she is, as the name Hunter crops up in the Jamieson family

Have you got any further with your research?

Please PM me if you would like to look at my tree. I have quite a bit of info on the Jamiesons.

Regards Julie
