I have Andrew Brown born 1790-1801 Maybole married to Janet Hunter Jamieson child of Quintin Jamieson and Katherine Bone.

I have Andrew Brown born 7th Nov 1795 Maybole to Andrew Brown b1745 and Jean/Jane Love b.1756 and grandson to Gilbert Brown father to Agnes Brown mother to Robert Burns.

I am trying to prove these two Andrews are actually one person. I cannot find any records that take either Andrew to the next generation.

Have you got the names, in birth order, of the children of Andrew Brown and Janet Jamieson?

Hopefully, they will have used the Scottish naming conventions so first son would be Andrew, second Quentin. First daughter Catherine/Katherine and second daughter, Jean/Jane.

Andrew Brown and Janet Jamieson children are Andrew 1830, Samuel 1832, Jane 1835, Janet 1837 and Jessie 1838

Yes - I've just been checking. There seems quite a big gap between their marriage in 1824 and the first recorded baptism in 1830 and no Catherine/Katherine $:-\$

The 1841 census has him as 40-44, so the 1795 birth looks promising?

When and where did he die?

Andrew died 30 December 1864. His parents were Andrew Brown (innkeeper) and Jane, maiden surname Love. Both deceased.

Family roumor has it and my aim is to prove Andrew Brown 1830 and his wives Elizabeth Readmont or Jane kieth is related to Robert Burns. Jane Kieth is another option as there also kieths in the tree but I cannot find any thing on jane Kieth born 1835 Glasgow.

The info I gave you was from Andrew (snr)'s death cert which states that he was married to Janet Hunter Jamieson and his parents were Andrew Brown and Jane Love:

Thank you that is what I needed, do you have a copy of that death certificate or know how I can get the transcript.
