Hello all

Just received a reply from the lady researching Abood ... she had a look at the photo and yes it is the same family!
I suggested she join RC for anymore family research help.  :D

She also sent a message to Lady Di so I'll leave it to Lady Di to carry-on this thread.  ;D

I haven't heard from the lady yet but I'll pass on any/all info when I hear.

Many thanks to everyone, particularly Cas (stallc) who has done a lot of work behind the scenes. There appears to be two different families in the same town, same name, but we cannot find a connection so far. One family immigrated from Lebanon, the other appears to have been here for a while. Maybe the connection was "back home" and they were cousins a generation prior  ???

Anyway, I'm sure we'll hear soon enough.

Apologies to all for the lack of replies and comments - I've been struck down with the dreaded 'flu so haven't felt up to much lately........

BUT the good news is......

The picture is going home!!

I have just spoken with one of the "young" lads in the photo and he has confirmed that it is his family and was very amazed when I told him where it was found.

So THANK YOU so much for everyone's help, assistance and guidance both on and off the board. Sorry that some things had to be off board but as the children are still alive (obviously  ::) ) we couldn't communicate all the details on here.
