2. Julia Lydon      05/03/1882
3. Sarah Lydon      16/03/1884
4. James Lydon      25/04/1886

* Given how these dates fit within the Judith Connor dates, I think it is likely that Judith Connor and Julia Connor are the same person. The only discrepancy is that there are two Mary Lydons. It is possible that the Mary born in 1874 died in infancy, and that a later daughter was given the same name. I have not been able to find a death record for Mary Lydon, but perhaps she was buried elsewhere.

My primary goal at this time is to find the birthdates of both sets of parents as well as where exactly they are buried since I do know they did not come to the United States. Any information on them would be appreciated.
On all of the children I am attempting to determine who came to the U.S. and who did not.
Lastly, there are no known pictures of any of them and some day I have hopes of finding something. Currently have nothing. So per your question the answer would be anything. Anything to connect the thread.
Penelope is my grandmother and I have absolutely no information on her.none. I have no idea how she got here nothing. So any information on her would be outstanding. thank you

Why do you think Andrew Melia married Bridget Ryan? IGI lists 5 children to Andrew Melia and Bridget REGAN:
Kate born 7 Mar.1869 Co.Galway
Bridget born 27 Jan.1871 Ireland
Thomas born 17 Oct.1872 co. Galway
Margaret born 24 Nov.1874 Cortoor dist., Galway
Andrew born 3 Sept.1876 Co.Galway

Is it only Penelope Melia you know went to U.S. for sure? Where did she live in U.S. and what census records, etc. have you found her?

Actually, LDS  lists all children except Penelope and Winifred. Sometimes her (their mother Bridget's) name comes up as Ryan and sometimes Regan. I believe that her name was Ryan and her witness to the marriage was a Bridget Regan. She was also listed on there as Biddy.

Why do you ask "why" he married her. I do not understand the
reasoning behind the question. Why does any one get married?

No she is not the only one who came to the United States. She states she came in 1902 (on census information) before Martin who came in 1904.

I have documentation that the following of the Omalley's came to the U.S.  Bridget, Winifred, Mary and Margaret so far. It is beleived that they all came here except their parents Andrew and Bridget.

Penelope is my primary one since she is my grandmother yes. However I have an 85 year old aunt who remembers them all quite well but, would like some information on them.

She as well as all of the rest of them (that I have found so far) lived in Pittsburgh, Pa. in Allegheny County. I was told they all lived there and the sisters were close. I have the 1910 Miracode for her, the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census. I have her marriage cert that says she was married to Martin in Novemeber of 1907.

Michael, Walter, John and Thomas and Andrew I have not found records for.

I know that Bridget married an O'Toole but not when or any thing else, Mary (Marie) married a Hugh Connor and I have census and ship records for both of them. Margaret married a Casey and I have no infomation other than they had a daughter 'Peg', Winifred married a John McGreevy who came from Belfast, I have U.S. Naturalization papers for him and her as well as those papers for Hugh and Marie. I also have Naturalization papers for Martin Lydon and Penelope.

My question 'why do you think Andrew Melia married Bridget Ryan' was because of the entries for children of Andrew Melia and Bridget Regan. When I did a parent search on IGI for children of Andrew Melia and Bridget Ryan nothing came up but when I searched for them without Bridget's surname I got Catherine, Bridget, Thomas, Margaret, Andrew with Bridget Regan as the mother. Just now I tried searching for the missing children in IGI (Michael, Walter, Mary/Maria, John) and nothing came up. The IGI has many, but not all, Irish births 1864-c1882 which is probably why Penelope and Winifred aren't there.

Could this be your Walter Melia?:
Walter Melia married 14 Sept.1898 Allegheny Co., Penna. to Mary Welsh.

Mary- I also found Brisget and Thomas (and other children) all with mother's maiden name as Regan, not Ryan.
