Where's Newton Lancs

Although it seems we're looking at Manchester here, I just thought I'd point out that there are at least two other Newtons in Lancashire too.

Newton with Scales, near Kirkham
Newton in Bowland (though probably that was Yorkshire then)

there's also Newton hyde - perhpas Cheshire then but Newton (Heath) is just up the road from Ancoats.

still close enough to Ancoats/Newton Heath

there are a couple of Margaret Strickland births

This seems so promising for the 1861 Census.There was a rumour that the family were called Strickleton so it looks exciting.
I'm out for the day but cant wait to persue further

street has been crossed but could be Taine (?) St  or similar but is in the area of Ancoats

John Strickleton 17 yrs with a mother Margaret 60 yrs and he is a carter

but 

1841 HO107; Piece 577; Book: 21;   Folio: 34; Page: 9
has a John Strickland 8yrs  with a Hannah aged 50 yrs- presumably mother. Ashton St Ancoats - not that far away from the other one 

but

margaret 50 yrs
Margaret 12 yrs

all born county
which fits in with the 1851 John with mother Margaret.

getting even better but still keep a bit of caution 
Family Search IGi has a baptism for John Strickland or Strickleton 1833 Manchester Cathedral- parents John and Margaret. (from church records)

This all looks so promising.I'm not so sure about Hannah being Johns Mother but the other 1841 and 1851 Census looks very promising.
I have a copy of a Baptism Manchester Parish Church Aug 1833 of John son of John and Margaret Strickland.Under this it says something which could be "otherwise" Strickleton.The father John is a Spinner
John b 1833 marries Elizabeth Calvert 1853 Occ Dresser and at his son John George's baptism 1857[all at Manchester Cathedral] he is a Dyer.
It seems the family exchanged the hell holes of the Manchester Textile Industry for the hell holes of the Sheffield Steel Works and associated industries.
I've still a lo of checking to do but I do thank you so much for finding this information for me.
