Brant County where? Genweb often has links to census but you need to know the Province.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Joanni

Do I gather that this is Brantford, Ontario, Canada?

I don't know about this six nations census, but there's loads from Brantford and Ontario oin general on the International Version of Canada.  It's also available on the Library Edition freely available to anyone using computers in subscribing libraries oin the UK.

I don't know that it's all, but it's certainly a lot of them.

I'm not sure which, but I've had originals for censuses, also loads of BMD's including scans of original certificates which give loads more info than yours in the uk.  Birth places on marriage and death certificates.  Also both parents and all sorts.

They aren't all on, but enough events for enough of umpteen of my friend's family to check that gradually they all went, what their occupations were, many of the marriages and three war deaths.

Sorry if you've got all this, but when I found it it was a such a brilliant find, I'll take the chance!

Best wishes and good luck!

Six Nations is an Indian Reserve outside Brantford.  It consists of Oneida, Onodaga, Cayuga, Mohawk, Seneca and Tuscarora.  The main town on the reserve is Ohsweken (where we race  ;D )

What are the first names of the McCloy's you are looking for?  The can be under Brant County or Haldimand County.

There is a birth registration for a baby boy McCloy in South Dumfries, County of Brant.  Born February 8, 1909, father is listed as Haney McCloy, labourer.
