Hi

Welcome to rootschat  :)

I hope that we can help you find her.

First, what was the date and place of the wedding and what did it say about her parents. - father's occupation, whether they were deceased, etc?

Have you found her on the 1881-1901 censuses. If not, that might be the first step.  These should give a place of birth.

Regards

Welcome to Rootschat.
This might be the family in 1891:

107 Eaglesham St., Plantation dist., Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland:
Malcolm McDonald, 42, born N.Uist Invernessshire, mason
wife Marion McDonald, 33, N.Uist
son Hugh McDonald, 11, N.Uist, scholar
son Archibald McDonald, 8, N.Uist, scholar
dau. Catherine McDonald, 13, N.Uist, scholar
dau. Mary McDonald, 4, Oban Argylshire
dau. Christina McDonald, 1, Glasgow Lanarkshire

If this is the correct family it looks like Catherine was born c1878.

I see that the IGI (www.familysearch.org) has a patron submitted entry for the marriage of a Malcolm Macdonald and Marion Macdonald, 21 December 1876, North Uist. it also says that Malcolm was born 12 Dec 1836, North Uist.

As it's a patron submission, I'll check for some evidence on the Scotlands People website www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk.

I just noticed this Thread so perhaps a bit late to add my tuppence worth to the topic. I believe I have a rather distant connection to the MacDonald family. If I have the right families re Malcolm MacDonald b.1836, parents: Archibald MacDonald, Catherine MacLellan. Catherine was a sister of Ewen MacLellan (my gg.grandfather), also John, Hector, and Christina. Their parents were: Donald MacLellan & Margaret Ferguson. The 1841 Census for North Uist records Donald McLellan (80) living with his daughters Christina, Catherine, son in law Archie MacDonald etc. I have a sizeable family tree and happy to share info. Archie MacDonald was born in Skye.
