Old photos of Liverpool
« on: Friday 27 June 08 22:17 BST (UK) »
Here's a few images, taken from my meagre collection of RP postcards.

Anfield Road School 1915 - on the back of this card it says: "W.E.Jones, front row, 3rd from right - died 1998".

Newark Street, off County Road - c.1909

Stanley Park - 1904

Anfield Road, Liverpool 4

The final image can also be viewed on the  Liverpool Street Gallery website.
An article about this project will appear in the Daily Post on Monday 30th June.
We are still looking for contributors, so if you have a camera or some old pictures of Liverpool, why not post them on the website.

See you,

Tony

Hi Tonys, what a wonderfull web site you have. Do you think it might be worth trying to put your school picture on Friends-reunited site as some one might be looking for a school photo back then?

Hi Tonys

Great pictures and website - one suggestion though - ask a mod to move it to the Lancashire Resource forum, if left here it will just drop off the page in a couple of weeks, in the Resource forum it will stay put for a very long time.

Thanks for your comments.
Ken, I will ask for the post to be moved to the Lancs Resource Forum.
Migky, I'm not too keen on posting my images on a commercial website, especially when I have to pay for the privilege.

The Daily Post have just published a 2-page centre spread about the LiverpoolStreetGallery project :
