It says here http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hitch/gendocs/lonstr_l.html that Linton Place is in St Barnabas.

St Barnabas is on Bell Street.

If you look at Charles Booth map for Bell Street you will see a Linton Street above.  I would assume it is off there.

Can't find Linton place on my 1888 map.

Someone else may have a better idea.

This extract tell of "Beaumont's Buildings, situated on the south side of Linton Place, Edgware Road"
So Linton Place would be exactly on the boundary between Marylebone and Paddington - ie., the Edgware Road.
Hope that helps

Linton Place appears on the 1869-1880 OS Map on Old-Maps. It was a cul-de-sac. By 1895 it was open at both ends and was now called Linton Street, a name that it still had in 1938. By the next map on that site (1951) it was named Penfold Place, a name still shown on modern-day maps.
